From fashion to passion, watermelons are loved by people the world over.  After all, who could resist the sinfully sweet and tender taste of this wonderful fruit?  Watermelon is grown as a warm-weather crop, but it is eaten many different ways during all seasons of the year.

Watermelons are a great source of nutrition because they are full of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids essential to maintaining human health.  Because watermelon is especially high in potassium, it is good for men to eat since men need a large amount of potassium in their daily diet.  Even with all of this nutrition packed into the fruit, watermelon tastes delicious to both humans and animals.

Watermelon is most often eaten fresh in the US, but, in other parts of the world, watermelon is also eaten cooked, pickled, and dried.  Watermelon also makes very good animal feed.
