Writing Clearly Lab

This lab allows you to practice some basic grammar, spelling, and word choice problems. You can complete this simple lab by following the directions detailed below.

  1. Open the Writing Test (hint: you may want to open a second browser first so you can continue to read these instructions while completing the exercise).
  2. Save the test (File-Save As-Save in:-File name:), preferably on your jump drive. Be sure to replace the original filename, "writingtest.pdf," with a new name, such as "YourLastName.pdf".
  3. PRINT a hardcopy of the test after saving it to your jump drive.
  4. Complete all sections on the test.
  5. Give the hardcopy to your lab instructor.

Writing/Editing Test

Save the information from this lab to your jump drive (for future use). After completing each section on the hardcopy, give the results to your lab instructor.

Refer to the Tutorial for more information about grammar and general writing skills.
Make sure the instructor checks this assignment BEFORE you leave the lab session.
