Press Release Lab

Create a mock-up press release about the agricultural topic you used in the research brief lab. Include the following components in your press release (one page only for this lab).

  1. Color graphic/letterhead design across the top of the page.
  2. Use the "inverted pyramid" writing style.
  3. Include the "who, what, when, where, why, and how" style of writing.
  4. Check your Headline for action words/verbs.
  5. The press release is double-spaced, with correct formatting (see Press Release Format example below).
Save the information from this lab to your jump drive. Send the results of this lab to your instructor and teaching assistant as an e-mail attachment (don't forget the lab name in your e-mail subject line) when completed.

Ask your instructor to check this assignment BEFORE leaving the lab.
