Week #3	Successful Writing
Objectives:	Identify the steps to successful writing. Discuss requisite steps in the writing process. Edit documents thoroughly and accurately. Practice proofreading techniques to improve writing skills. Assist other students with editing and proofreading tasks.

On Learning to Write Well Writing Well: The Key to success? TAMU Writing Center Editing and Proofreading Your Own Writing Poynteronline: The Coaching Way
Assignments:	Read: Chap. 3 & 7; Appendix A, in Gurak & Lannon (2004). Quizzes: Sentence Style Lab: Writing Clearly. Project Due: Journal Article Review, due on 9-10. Continue exploring the Internet for relevant materials to discuss in the next class.
