Team Presentations

How will future technologies impact the agricultural and/or communications industries? Two-person teams will explore this question and develop a team presentation (using PowerPoint) to answer it. Your team’s presentation should be 10 minutes and both team members must participate in the presentation. If you adhere to the suggestions below, your presentation should go well. As you prepare the presentation, remember to include:
  • One title slide with both team members’ names.
  • Describe the target audience for your future technology.
  • Many slides for the major sections (introduction, body, and summary) presented.
  • A general description of the future technology (introduction).
  • How will the technology be used (body)?
  • How will the technology impact the agricultural and/or communications industries?
  • How will the technology be promoted?
  • Plan for approximately 15-20 PowerPoint slides in your slideshow.
  • Summarize your team’s presentation (summary).

Hints for producing an exceptional presentation:

  • Both team members participate in the presentation
  • Handouts that compliment your presentation are provided to the audience.
  • Use the 6x6 rule for all slides; No more than six lines/slide, No more than six words/line.
  • Project your voices, speak clearly, avoid jargon, and do not stray off the topic.
  • PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!!
This project (100 points), begins on 4-22-07, may be enhanced with class handouts. Each presentation will be evaluated by the instructor/teaching assistant and selected peers from the class.

Note: You cannot use these presentations for your assignment.
